This ministry believes that it is the call of every believer to spread the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation. The basis of the gospel is the work of Christ on the cross (I Cor. 15:1-4). Our Savior fulfilled all the claims of divine justice, enabling God to justify believing sinners. The scriptures state in Romans 10:14, How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
This ministry not only encourages its members to engage in sharing their faith with others, but it also teaches its members how to share their faith and send them out to speak to others. Jesus told his disciples “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” The more like him we are, the more successful we will be in winning others to Him. Through various outreach activities with evangelism being the focus, members learn that soul winning like fishing is an art that requires patience, discernment, persistence and total reliance on the Holy Spirit. Answer the call and follow Him and let Him make you a fisher of men.
Our Outreach Ministry is founded on Matthew 25:35 – 36 For I was a hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
The goal of the Outreach Ministry at HCC is to fulfill these words of Jesus to meet the needs of those hurting and alone.
Our desire is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to minister to all who have need of love and the power of Christ to change their lives.
Jesus is Lord.
